Pluto Tech Ltd, trading as TINE ("TINE", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our virtual phone number platform, including our website, web application, and mobile applications (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from those services.

Phone Numbers

When you purchase a virtual phone number through TINE, we store the number and its association with your account. This is required for the service to function.

Call & Message Metadata

We store metadata about your calls (date, time, duration, and caller/recipient phone numbers) and messages (date, time, and sender/recipient phone numbers) for the purpose of displaying your call history and conversation list. We do not read, analyze, mine, or sell the content of your calls or messages. Message content is stored solely to display your conversations back to you within the app and is never accessed by TINE staff or used for any other purpose.

Contacts

Contacts you manually create within TINE (names, phone numbers, emails, companies, lead tags, and notes) are stored in your account. We do not access, sync, or upload your device's native address book or phone contacts. Only contacts you explicitly add inside TINE are stored.

Usage & Analytics

We collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, features used, and session duration to improve our service. We do not track you across other websites.

Payment Information

Payments are processed through third-party providers (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card or bank account details. We receive only transaction confirmations and payment status.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide, maintain, and improve the TINE platform and its features
Process phone calls, SMS messages, and other communications you initiate
Manage your account, billing, and purchased phone numbers
Send service-related notifications (e.g., incoming call alerts, billing receipts)
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
Provide customer support when you contact us

3. How We Share Your Information

Service Providers

We share data with third-party services that help us operate TINE, including Twilio (telephony), Firebase (authentication and database), and Stripe (payments). These providers process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations.

Team Members

If you join or create a team, other team members (and team owners/admins) may see activity on shared team numbers, including call logs and message metadata.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other governmental process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business Transfers

If TINE is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data for advertising purposes.

4. What We Do Not Collect

TINE is built with a privacy-first approach. We want to be explicit about what we do not do with your data:

Call Content: We do not record, listen to, transcribe, or store the audio content of your phone calls. Call audio is routed through our telephony provider (Twilio) in real time and is not retained by TINE.
SMS/MMS Content Analysis: While message text is stored so you can view your conversation history in the app, we never read, scan, analyze, or mine your message content for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than displaying it back to you.
Device Contacts: We do not access, sync, or upload your phone's address book. The only contacts stored by TINE are those you explicitly create within the app.
Location Data: We do not collect or track your GPS location, IP-based geolocation, or physical address.
Advertising Profiles: We do not build advertising profiles based on your communication activity. We do not share any data with ad networks.

5. Data Storage & Security

Storage

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Google Cloud (Firebase) and other infrastructure partners. Data may be stored and processed in the United States.

Security Measures

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

6. Your Rights

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
Portability: Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format
Opt-out: Unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time

7. Cookies & Local Storage

TINE uses browser local storage to save your theme preference (light/dark mode) and session information. We use essential cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

TINE is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.

9. International Users

TINE is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using TINE, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on our platform. Continued use of TINE after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
